Family Bonds Can Be Both Fragile and Strong. Just Like Glass.
At the heart of the Unbreakable Memories campaign was a simple but powerful truth: families aren’t just part of the Corning Museum of Glass audience—they are the core of it.
Through primary research and audience insights, we uncovered a critical emotional driver: moms, in particular, are actively seeking more meaningful, engaging ways to connect with their kids. Not just activities to fill time—but experiences that create lasting bonds and shared memories.
This insight reframed the museum’s role. Rather than positioning it solely as a place to observe art or learn about glass, we elevated it as a place where connection happens—where curiosity becomes collaboration, and moments become memories that last well beyond the visit.
The Unbreakable Memories concept draws a parallel between the physical properties of glass—often misunderstood as fragile—and the emotional strength of shared family experiences. Just as glass can be engineered to be incredibly resilient, so too can the memories formed at Corning: enduring, meaningful, and impossible to break.
